Uncommon Wealth Podcast

Phillip Ramsay interviews his father, Phil, about a life shaped by competition, faith, family, and hard work. Phil recalls winning national championships in college football and senior softball, playing flag football with his son, and a near-fatal water-skiing accident. He also tells how drawing number four in the Vietnam draft lottery prompted him to reconsider college; a student deferment led him to Northwestern and eventually to a 45-year career at MidAmerican Energy. He closes by reflecting on his faith, his 51-year marriage, providing for his family, and the peace he’s found in his son’s financial guidance.
